The repentant sinner (Mt 26: 6-13; Mark 14: 3-9; Jn 12: 1-11) – 36 A Pharisee invited him to eat with him. He entered the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table. 37One woman, known in that city as a sinner, upon learning that He was at the table at the Pharisee’s house, brought a bottle of alabaster with perfume. 38Putting up behind him and weeping, she began to bathe his feet with tears; he wiped them with his hair and kissed them, anointing them with perfume. 39So seeing this, the Pharisee who had invited him said to himself: “If this man were a prophet, he would know who he is and what kind he is touching, because he is a sinner!” 40So Jesus said to him, “Simon , I have something to tell you. »« Speak, Master »- he replied. 41 «A lender had two debtors: one owed him five hundred denarii and the other fifty. 42 Since they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which one will love you the most? »43Simão replied:« The one to whom you forgave more, I believe. »Jesus said to him:« You judged well. »44And turning to the woman, he said to Simon:« Do you see this woman? I entered your house and did not give me water for my feet; but she bathed my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss; but she has not stopped kissing my feet since she entered. 46You did not anoint my head with oil, and she anointed my feet with perfume. 47Therefore, I tell you, his many sins are forgiven him, because he loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little. ”48 Then he said to the woman,“ Your sins are forgiven. ”49 Then the guests began to say among themselves:“ Who is this who even forgives sins? ”50And Jesus said to the woman: «Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
Women serve the Lord – 1Next, Jesus went from city to city, from village to village, proclaiming and announcing the Good News of the Kingdom of God. The Twelve 2 accompanied him and some women, who had been healed of evil spirits and diseases: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had come out; 3Joanna, wife of Cuza, administrator of Herod; Susana and many others, who served them with their goods.
1On Saturday, Maria de Magdala, Maria, mother of James, and Salome bought perfumes to go embalming him. 2Morning, at sunrise, very early on the first day of the week, they went to the tomb. They said to each other: “Who will take the stone from the entrance to the tomb?” 4But they looked and saw that the stone had been rolled to the side; and it was very big. 5Entering the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right, dressed in a white robe, and were frightened. 6He said to them, “Do not be alarmed! Are you looking for Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified one? He is risen; is not here. Look at the place where they had deposited it. 7 Go, therefore, and say to his disciples and to Peter: ‘He goes before you on the way to Galilee; there you will see him, as I told you ‘. »8 They went out, fleeing the sepulcher, because they were trembling and were beside themselves. And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

7Maria de Magdala and Maria, José’s mother, watched where they deposited him.
1Then the veil of the temple was rent in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. 52 The tombs were opened, and many dead bodies of saints were raised;
Maria was standing outside the tomb, crying. Without stopping crying, he leaned into the tomb, 12 and looked at two angels dressed in white, sitting where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the feet. 13They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” And she replied, “Because they took my Lord and I don’t know where they put him.” 14So he said this and turned back and saw Jesus standing up, but he didn’t realize that it was Him. 15And Jesus said to him, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for? ”She, thinking that he was in charge of the garden, said to her:“ Lord, if it was you who took it, tell me where you put it, that I will go and get it. ”16 Jesus said to her:“ Mary ! »She, approaching, exclaimed in Hebrew:« Rabbuni! »- which means:« Master! »17Jesus said to her:« Do not stop me, for I have not yet gone up to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them: ‘I am going up to my Father, who is your Father, to my God, who is your God.’ »18Maria Magdalene went and announced to the disciples:« I saw the Lord! » And he told what He had told him.

and saved him from his own sin
